What is JM Safety Plus?

JM Safety Group has developed a service package for clients that will provide professional advice and support in health and safety management. The service has been designed to assist our clients to maximise our support and ensure their individual health and safety programmes are constantly compliant. The product works on a two yearly cycle to ensure consistency of service and value for money.

The JM Safety Plus product works with the health and safety programme to ensure that the health and safety policy, manual risk assessments and training are refreshed annually. The JM Safety Plus product ensures that, via your Lead Consultant, your programme is updated following a legislative change.

The JM Safety Plus product is designed for each client individually. For instance, if your work environment involves medium or high risk activities then quarter or six monthly inspections maybe required. If your organisation does not have a full time Safety Manager then we can provide extra support.

Who needs it?

All employers have an obligation to manage health and safety in the workplace. The complexity of your health and safety management programme is dictated by your workplace. Identifying someone competent in your organisation to manage the health and safety programme is an essential first step. This person will co-ordinate your safety efforts and communicates on results and safety initiatives to the board or senior management team.

Why they need it

One of the key elements in health and safety management often forgotten is the need to constantly monitor and review your health and safety programme. JM Safety Plus ensures that you have a two yearly checklist which captures key activities including risk assessments, training and legislative updates. Access to competent advice which is affordable and relevant is key and becoming more sought after by organisations.

The likelihood of an inspection from the local authority departments responsible for health and safety is ever growing. You have a duty of care to your staff, contractors, visitors and members of the public. Your readiness for these inspections is expected now as health and safety is considered to be a business critical management function.
